About Ma and Mei

It all started with making cakepops for a family party to save money and the rest is history . That one party started me on my baking journey.

My background is in Arts and I even have an AA Degree in Computer Graphics. But like many young single moms I had to put my career on hold to support my kids. Since my graduation from college was during the dot-com era I was unable to go into the field I received my degree in. 

I ended up working in construction field doing Purchasing for the next 16 years. But on the weekends and at night I would be able to use making cakepops as my creative outlet. It began with making orders for family and friends. Then started getting referrals, started posting on Yelp and Instagram and it took off from there. 

I love to create custom designs, cute and different desserts. I feel that desserts should not just taste good but look cute as well. So from cakepops it grew to cupcakes, mini cakes, pretzels rods, mini desserts, and now sugar cookies. 
 

As my kids grew up and got into their own passions I decided to take a leap of faith and order a mini food truck that I could take my treats to other areas. My daughter got into coffee and loves to experiment with different flavors and combinations and that’s where we decided to join forces and came up with Ma and Mei.
